Palika Prashasan/Navi Mumbai: A teacher is not merely an individual who imparts subject knowledge but serves as a guide, an inspiration, and a sculptor of character. The contribution of teachers in instilling values in society and sowing the seeds of knowledge among students is invaluable. In this context, the “Teacher Felicitation Ceremony” organized by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by MLA Mandatai Mhatre, representing the Belapur Legislative Constituency, at the Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium in Vashi.

During the event, MLA Mandatai Mhatre emphasized that the gathering was convened to honor outstanding teachers from schools, noting that this recognition is not only an appreciation of their efforts but also a proud acknowledgment of their dedication. Teachers play a pivotal role in the success of schools and the bright future of students. Often standing behind their students, guiding them at every step, teachers are the true architects of their achievements. Furthermore, MLA Mandatai Mhatre reiterated that the leadership of the state is shaped by the hands of teachers. She also presented awards to various schools for their exemplary performance, felicitating them during the ceremony.

The event was graced by distinguished poet and litterateur Ashok Bagwe as the keynote speaker, along with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Sanghratna Khillare, Municipal Secretary Chitra Bawiskar, and a large number of teachers in attendance.
